Built by an artist who was done with the paperwork.

Studio Operations was not planned in a product meeting. It came out of one studio, this one, and the mess of selling from it.

In his words

“I had a studio full of work, three places that sell it, different prices for the pieces, struggling with a decent pdf for a lookbook, and for years a spreadsheet that was always slightly wrong. Enough was enough.”

A collector would ask about a painting and I would check the website, then the spreadsheet, then my email, and get three different answers. A price would change and the lookbook, the invoice and the quote I had already sent would not. Every sale meant rebuilding the certificate, the invoice and the packing slip by hand.

So I built the thing I needed: one record per work, holding everything that has ever happened to it, running my website and my studio at the same time. Records, website, collectors, sales, payments, certificates, lookbooks, invoices, shipping, commissions, collection of money. One place instead of five services and a pile of paperwork.

I use it every day. My own site runs on it.
